OFICE FOR FOREIGN INVESTORS - WALLONIA BELGIUM

Background

The Office for Foreign Investors (OFI) is the Foreign Investment Department of the Walloon Export and Foreign Investment Agency. It employs 28 people. Major successes include: TNT (European Logistic Centre); Johnson & Johnson (European Logistic Centre); Toyota (Call Centre); Transcom (Call Centre) Mölnlycke (Call centre). Most recently Google announced the creation of a datacentre creating more than 100 jobs and H&M the setting up of a distribution centre for Southern Europe in Wallonia.

Frenger's role

Frenger was appointed by OFI in January 2005 and the contract was renewed every year since. We consistently achieved our targets and have delivered 7 successes so far.

Conclusion

In 2008, we identified several large projects that could lead to investments creating several hundreds jobs in the logistics sector.
